Age Limit:
Candidate age should not be more than 28 years for Post 1, 32 years for Post 2, 30 years for Post 3, 5 & 7, 40 years for Post 4 & 6 as on 20-06-2016. Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women & Physically Challenged candidates is applicable.

Education Jobsal Qualification For WII Recruitment 2016:
Candidates should possess Masters Degree in relevant discipline with 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University or M. Tech/ M.Phil in any discipline relevant to Biological Science/ Life Science/ Ecological Sciences with a minimum of 60% marks aggregate for Post 1, Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Biology/ Zoology/ Forestry/ Biodiversity Conservation for Post 2, Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Ecology/ Forestry/ Zoology/ Botany/ Life Sciences from a recognized University for Post 3. Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected based on written test & interview.

Application Fee:
Candidates has to pay Rs. 500/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, Wildlife Institute of India payable at Dehradun.

About Wildlife Institute of India (WII):
The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India. WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Eco-development, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library. The founder was V. B. Saharia while the first Director was Hemendra Singh Panwar who remained the director from 1985 to 1994. Trained personnel from WII have contributed in studying and protecting wildlife in India. WII has also popularized wildlife studies and careers. The institute is based in Dehradun, India. It is located in Chandrabani, which is close to the southern forests of Dehradun.
