Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed their intermediate or 10+2 with 60% aggregate from one of the recognized boards in India.



You must have graduation with a degree from any of the recognized college in India. If you are in final year or final semester then also you can appear for the exam.

There is a relaxation of 5% if you belong to Scheduled Tribe ST or Scheduled Caste or Physically Handicapped.

Criteria for Age Limit

The Age of the aspirants should be between 18 years old and 28 years old. However for the SC/ST/OBC and physically disabled candidates have some relaxation.

SC/ST gets the relaxation of at least 5 years and OBC candidates get relaxation of 3 years.

Physically handicapped from general quota have relaxation for 10 years.

SC/ST physically handicapped have relaxation for 15 years and for OBC it is 13 years.

Exam Syllabus

The selection of a SBI clerk is determined by a written exam and followed by a personal interview.

Written Exam

The written exam is conducted using pen and paper unlike SBI PO where it was online. The examination paper is available in both English and Hindi medium.

The written exam is about General Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and Marketing Aptitude, Computer Aptitude.

You have to take up each section of the question paper separately and there will be negative marking if you give a wrong answer.

The objective test would be of 200 marks and you have to complete in 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Once you are through with written exam you are called for one on one interview. If you clear the interview then you are called upon for the job.

SBI Clerk Job

If you clear the written exam and one on one interview you are appointed as assistants for 3 years. Then you are getting promoted to other posts.

SBI clerk job is different than a SBI PO job. Clerk job is quite easy.

Salary for SBI Clerk

The total salary including basic and all other allowances would be around Rs 17,500/- in a city like Mumbai.

As you know allowance could vary from city to city. Hence pay scale of a SBI clerk differs all over India as per the city they live in.

Now you have to focus on getting an application form and admit card. You could get the application form on the SBI website www.sbi.co.in

You must fill the form and submit online. Read all instructions and try to submit as early as possible.

Later on you can download the admit card or hall ticket. The registration number and password will be given to you.

Appear for the exam online or offline.

If you do not have educational qualification or age limit then you must not apply for the job. For written exam you need to prepare yourself by reading different books.

Once bank decides the cut off marks and the result is declared then you have to appear for interview.
